I hate republicans as much as anyone but I also cannot stand those fucking pretentious leftists who talk down to literally everyone. You preach no one being above anyone yet you act like you’re better than everyone 😩

My problem is that they don’t want to work together with anybody, so our goals can never be achieved.

Like, we agree on 95% of things! Let’s get those things done! They just want it to be 100%, or they won’t work together.

That’s not what coalition building is, and coalition building accomplishes the goals of all involved. In that spirit, I work with those types of people, I just hope they’re open to joining me too.

kinda sounds like you’re talking about rad-libs, Hassan piker is the poster-boy for leftists and even he is pro-coalition with some pretty non pc folks and moderates. as long as you aren’t trying to screw over minorities or the working class. at least that’s my experience

I’m not talking about Hassan Piker, I’m more talking about how DSA removed their endorsement of AOC even though she’s one of the best paths towards progress we have.

ohhh, um… yea i kinda get that move? she said that she supported giving more weapons to isreal to defend itself, while also acknowledging its committing a genocide? like, swap that around with any other warmongering country “i acknowledge that russia is committing acts of aggression against ukraine, but it has a right to defend itself so let’s send them an iron-dome”. if you give an aggressor more armor, they have less fear to continue their slaughter

i worded that a bit weird but i think it’s still legible 🤷

She voted that way because it was a Marjorie Taylor Greene stunt that still shipped weapons to them

okay, so i can understand THAT reasoning, the issue that got her DSA endorsement pulled was that she only had this response after getting backlash. her initial reasoning on the 19th that you linked was much more focused on her support for defensive arms to israel. maybe she held the second posts reasoning the whole time, maybe she didn’t, but her first post was a definite blunder for not making it clear. this isn’t exactly a minor cultural issue, she really needs to read the room

that being said, i hope the DSA and her work things out. i don’t think they plan to cut her out for good (at least i hope). this reads more like an attempt at a wake-up call, she needs to work on her political messaging skills

My point is that even if you don’t like 100% of what your best options are, you need to recognize which ones are your best options, and how they’ll keep driving towards option you agree with even more.

oh 100%, that being said, this isn’t a typical issue, this is a genocide.
