and i want to point out: a democratic shift in policy won’t fix this. democrats have a much better record with environmental policies than republicans but they still don’t care about it as much as they care about protecting capitalism and their rich donors. we need a massive cultural shift towards environmental protection that doesn’t seem like it’s coming.

we are already experiencing negative effects from climate change. wildfires, hurricanes, floods, droughts, heat waves, polar vortexes are all getting worse because of climate change. the sixth mass extinction is ONGOING. we are the frogs in the boiling pot and it’s starting to simmer.
