It’s really the burning of the country’s flag you reside in, displaying another country’s flag, taking away emergency resources from other parts of the area, destruction of property (non governmental. And even if it was governmental, that’s not okay.), assault and battery, etc. Protesting and rioting are two different things.

The problem is a bunch of morons violating multiple laws and acting like absolute lunatics. These aren’t lawful peaceful protests these are riots where people are just breaking the law

“Causing too much disruption” yea you mean like burning shit, looting stores, and blocking entire highways in on of the busiest city’s in the world while also breaking countless laws? I’d call that a little more than a disruption.

the government allows us to speak our mind and SPEAK UP for what we believe in. NOT to set things on fire and display acts of violence towards buildings, cars, and just the city in general. what happens when a child throws a temper tantrum? they get put in time out.

I think it really is the fact the federal gov is unlawfully destroying the lives of those who live in that community. I hope if ur neighbors get taken from their homes by masked men with no warrants you’d get pissed off too. People do angry things when they get angry

I understand that, but only to a point. I know of many individuals that have come here legally, and they are upset with the people that don’t. It’s like cutting in line. We also as taxpayers have spent ridiculous amounts of money on illegal immigrants. If someone is here illegally then they should not be here.

Illegal immigrants pay taxes. I work with one and she pays more than I do. The IRS doesn’t care if ur here legally just if you give them money. Even if they didn’t people should always be more important than money. The lack of compassion is the biggest problem.

Raiding elementary schools bc tax money when we give out 800 million as bonuses to ICE agents is hypocritical at best.

I agree it’s wrong but you don’t fix something wrong with something much worse. Let’s focus on stopping it from happening. The protests won’t stop and they will get more angry.

I think more compassion would be great. And the IRS yes does care about their money, it’s a government entity, not a fan of giving my money away. The other side of the coin on that is if you don’t pay taxes, that’s what flags the IRS and is illegal to not pay taxes, and what would get someone caught for illegally immigrating, I assume. I also assume, because it’s the IRS that they don’t check to see if you’re here legally or not because it’s not their job. Although they could set implementations

But, I still believe, even if you pay your taxes, you should not be here if you immigrated illegally. It’s illegal and unfair.

when things like this happen i can only think of children in near by areas, innocent pedestrians in the wrong place at the wrong time, even elderly and disabled waiting for the bus can be affected… but if people were just peacefully protesting we wouldnt have to worry about that

Something’s are worth throwing a temper tantrum for. Protests will be massive and there will be idiots doing dumb shit. Doesn’t make the reason for the protests any less legitimate

Millions are protesting around the country my friend. Many are scared of what trump is turning our democracy into. You should see the sheer volume on trumps bday coming up. And I’m sure you’ll mainly be focused on the much smaller riots that will break out

the thing is, these are not protests at all, they are riots. i do see your points but fighting for peace with violence will only make matters worse for the people youre fighting for- idk if i made sense but i dont believe the government will listen to anything and the only way they’d move is by speeding up the process and deport people faster :/

That’s factually inaccurate. I have seen massive walks through downtown Chicago with kids in the midst. I assume those don’t get nearly as much media attention as violence so people are less aware. It’s dangerous to rely on media companies that are profit based bc they don’t show the whole trust, just what makes the most money.

People are protesting trump not just the deportations in almost every major city in the country. LA had many peaceful protests today and a few that went sour. Will be the case for many cities as this situation worsens

Why are you more focused on the property destruction of protestors and not the actual violence of ice and their gestapo style raids or about the cops doing this shit to protesters. And I’m positive you saw this video. They were trying to leave and the cops threw them back down to be trampled. They are sadistic torturers and you’re licking their boots

No matter the cause nor the reality on the ground nor the smallness of the fraction of people engaging in property damage (AGAIN PROPERTY DAMAGE WHICH IS NOT VIOLENCE) the media will always paint a different narrative. But history vindicates.

Main Problem with your argument is that There’s several videos that prove at least A HANDFUL of individuals did try assaulting officers (tbc, not saying it’s a majority or even any remotely significant minority, but trying to deny that any violence towards Police, ICE and Soldiers has happened is not helping anyone, and if anything gives power to the people trying to claim it is way more). Also, I think you are severely underestimating how serious (and dumb) property damage is:

The key reason I say this purely comes down to the cost. Repairing damages (whether burn damages, broken windows, rebuying lost equipment and/or inventory depending on the business) can get very expensive very fast, and especially in low margin businesses (I.E Mom and Pop restaurants) those damages can be enough to kill or at least cause significant long term harm for to the business. Oh, and there’s also the fact that many of those businesses may have owners that don’t support or even are
