The thing is in China everyone calls themselves a Maoist no matter what they actually believe. So there are right wingers (relative to the Chinese mainstream) who consider themselves Maoist. I highly doubt this is what blue wave was saying tho

I think what they’re getting at is that conservatives want to preserve the status quo, which is more or less socialism in China. But the shift towards capitalism in China would be considered progressive? Idk
