There actually is scientific evidence conservatives tend to have a larger amygdala. Thats the part of the brain in charge of fear and aggression. Wether the the chicken or the egg came first is unknown, but it’s still interesting

I’d wager it’s a result of conservative entertainment producing their shows/segments all about making the viewers mad at a perceived straw man enemy

It wouldn’t matter. Maga isnt THE problem. It’s the consequence of a much deeper seated issue. People naturally seek things to validate their prejudices, and right wing media just profits off it

There was a time when right wing media wasn’t nearly as extreme right. Over the past 20 years the Overton window has shifted EXTREMELY far right, mainly with the advent of social media
