Hot take: I don’t think we should label MAGA as Naz*s. They are a separate moment in history. Do they have many beliefs in common? Yes. But are they a separate movement that needs to be remembered in history independently? Yes.

Well a whole lot of them literally are neo-Nazis. But ig as a whole, we currently equate them to Nazis but they'll go down as MAGAs which will go down in history as, well, what they are. America's own version of Nazis.

I don’t disagree. I just feel like they deserve their own label. They are different enough that it should be remembered in history as a different moment. We aren’t dealing with Nazis we are dealing with MAGAs. Both are horrible but they have their different tactics (which is understandable since so much has changed since the time when Hitler lived)

What do you define as “different enough”? I’m not arguing/debating about whether maga should or shouldn’t be called nazis, I’m just looking for info

To me, nazis are humans that attack people that practice judaism. While ICE doesn’t discriminate based on religion but skin color instead

Nazis were so much more though. At the end of the day, they were simply intense eugenecists + white supremacists. They wanted all 'non-perfect whites' gone. Jews were their #1 target, but they went for gay ppl, black ppl, ppl with disabilities, Romani ppl, etc.
