That’s a fair point, especially regarding the fact we don’t give these to regular citizens. Usually, though, executions cost more when you factor in the cost of fighting appeals, which is much more common in death penalty cases

It is a super fine line and not a black and white debate by any means. The biggest problem is there are people abused in the system when it’s supposed to help rehabilitate not reincarcerate people and we fall short because if we actually helped them then the prisons wouldn’t make money

well yeah the death penalty comes with a lot of super complex issues and it’s really hard to debate whether or not it’s effective but this post says nothing about the actual death penalty
