Idk why people aren’t agreeing with this. The US has never been on the right side of history. Even during WW2 they may have been better than the Nazis but being less bad doesn’t make you good
4th of July has become a fascist holiday and I’m tired of pretending it’s not. You cannot celebrate the existence of a fascist state without celebrating fascism. If you celebrate 4th of July then you’re complacent with the Nazi takeover of the US
I feel like you can be patriotic while still recognizing that the country is fundamentally broken and needs work. I get why people aren’t inclined to be patriotic and I’m not either but it’s more nuanced than this

not to mention all the policy (such as jim crow laws) and bunk science (like eugenics) the nazis got from the US in the first place
