Oh I might have gotten my “republicans who voted for/abstained” wrong but the point still stands that the republicans, when offered a chance to force the files to be exposed, almost entirely decided AGAINST it

Even Marjorie Taylor Greene said “if the bill were about releasing the files related to Epstein you’d have my immediate yes” Speaker of the House Mike Johnson said the DOJ should release what they have, and that Ghislane Maxwell should testify, and as you see here, they voted on “the previous” question and voting yes would allow Democrats to stuff that act with anything they wanted and take it to the floor to be voted on.

That isn’t how it went? Yes it was a procedural vote but it was only for the release of all Epstein files and documents, there was absolutely no way the dems could have added anything without at least another vote that would have easily been blocked by the reps. This was literally just them not wanting to release the files because Trump told them not to
