“Tax the rich” is a scam. A new 2% wealth tax or whatever does nothing to stop wealth inequality from growing. It doesn’t stop hoarding. If a person’s income grows far above 2% a year then that little tax does nothing to rebalance and distribute resources

I just mean it as scam as in it will not radically reshape life in this country. The amount of money that will come from that is maybe enough to bolster a few programs or add a new one. It’s not revolutionary.
