There’s multiple ways to go about this though – The problem with immigration from Central America is that it costs ~$10,000 per family member and takes 18 months on average, often leaving people facing emergencies with no choice. We COULD do what our great grandparents did and… just open an “Ellis Island” on the border, somewhere where people could just undergo a criminal background check & if they pass *boom* they’re in Orrr we could spend a ton of money to make peoples lives harder 🤷🏼♂️
That's because no one here is educated on the subject and probably not me either. But what I do know is that under Trump's administration is that ICE can stop Americans on the street for what they look like, which is protected by the constitution. I also know that 70% of illegal immigrants come here via PLANE LEGALLY, and then stay past their visa. So Trump using his own construction companies to build a 15 mile long wall for 15 billion$ (SO FAR) is a gross misuse of tax money and would be
far better used on Americans who are hungry, instead of getting rid of food stamps. Yes the government should look for illegal immigrants but there is a certain way to go about it, besides hiring literally anyone to be an ICE agent, and them not be qualified to know the rights of the people they serve.
