humans aren’t other animals. fatphobia is too pervasive in medicine for yall to just ignore it. when every woman’s medical issue is chopped up to “just lose weight” we realize maybe our weight was never the problem.

I agree that a lot of women’s health issues tend to get overlooked by medical professionals telling us to “just lose weight” when that might not be the root cause of issue, but to claim that being overweight or obese can’t ever cause health problems at all is just insane
