He’s taxing everyone in New York that makes 1,000,000 or more. Unfortunately in New York City 1,000,000 isn’t a massive amount of wealth. That place is super expensive to live

I think you’re confused. The tax isn’t on those with a million dollars. It’s on those who make a million A YEAR. Meaning that person could buy a median priced house every year with 125k to spare. These people are guaranteed to be at least multi-millionaires with the majority of which having net-worth’s over 10 million . Some way way higher

Income tax, not wealth tax. NYS’ highest income tax bracket is $25M+. People who make that much in a year can absolutely tolerate a 10% tax on the money over $25M

That’s going to have to be fixed, I’m surprised people who work in NYC don’t have to pay city tax regardless of their residence. That’s how my city works
