Trade schools are extremely important. Without them we wouldn’t have buildings, roads, plumbing, electric, etc. they help make the world work just like research does. We don’t need one over the other, we need both!

Yall are arguing with ghosts in this comment section. The first thing I said was trade schools have a ton of value. The answer is not, however, to take money away from schools like Harvard whose research transcends borders and has lasting long term impact.

You wouldn’t have roads to the universities without the trades. You wouldn’t have a building to go to without the trades. Our ENTIRE infrastructure relies on the trades. This is like saying “oil is neat, but it’s not researching fusion energy 🤓.”

You did not say that have a ton of value. You said “they’re great BUT”

They’re great would mean they have a ton of value. Using but in this context means that while trade schools are valuable they disagree with the methods of promoting trade schools. Y’all looking for any reason to be mad.
