they killed children during every revolution. no life is truly more sacred than the next, when people are pushed to the brink they will do what they feel they must.

There’s never an excuse to kill defenseless children. Those kids were killed not out of necessity of because of any crime they committed but simply because of what their parents had done. The kids had no control over anything that happened and yet they were killed in cold blood

it’s not an excuse. They killed children bc their children starved and died in the wars the czar lost. What they did was just what they did, to put a moral judgement on them now is silly. It’s not giving them their lives back, they were never gonna live in the society that was coming.

What did the kids do to deserve that?

they had this misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, like the millions of other children who died for all other reasons.

Saying why someone did something does not address the morality of said action. That’s just a cop out.

no, it’s the real take it. The moral decision is to also admit that the Romanov’s killed thousands. So, what do we do about that? They shouldn’t have killed the children, but what do you do with said kids? Do you let them all live? Do you then force them to live in the conditions of the other children? What life would that be for them? When so many of children died by living in those conditions? Do you kill no one in a revolution? Or we can admit both, but there be no revolution itfp
