I mean yeah this is basically an excuse to round up homeless people off the street and toss them into institutions

absolutely. unfortunately, lots of these folks don’t consider the homeless to be people so it’s also important to tell them about how it creates a bad precedent for *them*. I wish “be decent” was good enough to convince them, but we’re lowkey past that point
