One person vs an entire group chat full of thousands of hateful messages. Yeah, these are remotely comparable

What’s the context? Like her Children would die in a school shooting?

are you that insufferable you wish people’s children die?

From the text message it sounds like he’s just making a point that people need to feel some personal down side to change policy, which I believe is sometimes true. Not that was “fantasizing about shooting them”

I’m in VA, been seeing commercials on these a lot. The texts were awful but I question how seriously the GOP really took these texts if they were made in 2022 and we’re just now hearing about them

Fwiw, the GOP delegate was made aware of these texts in 2022 and afaik didn’t do much about it at the time - no legal action, statement, etc

1 are you denouncing it or not 2 yes but this is from an actual politician who very well might be the new VA AG and this took 3 years to surface so Lord knows how many other messages are being hidden

It depends what he meant like I said. I’m not gonna denounce something that’s true and not morally wrong. If he’s just saying that personal impacts promote change in policy that’s not even bad.

1) Yeah I denounce it. 2) And still just one message, you have literally no evidence there’s more beyond 3) I could point towards republican politicians pushing wayyyyy more violence then this one off example you have

But I would change my mind with more evidence that he meant something awful.

by openly wishing that her children die so she would possibly be on her side? how is that at all a justifiable point to make?

The group chat that was leaked was literally multiple people and was almost endorsed by the Trump administration, with some members even working for the administration. Quit acting like this is a “well both sides are bad” issue when one is literally an entire group

they were college students who were leadership in clubs, love how you said almost to phrase it like the Trump Admin was going to endorse them, they didn’t

That’s why I’m asking for addition context idk if that’s what they’re saying. Theres a difference between making a point that if public policy is just motivated by personal experience is wrong vs saying I wish every republican child would die.

Trump doesn’t need to endorse some random dipshit college kids he’s fine with political violence and Nazis. Jan 6th he pardoned everyone who did political violence for him he fully endorses it.

And if you’re referring to the FBI lie that Trump keeps repeating, you realize Kash Patel Trumps own meat riding FBI director openly contradicted that narrative.
