I don’t think the guy who killed Charlie Kirk did a good thing by any means, but it absolutely was the chickens coming home to roost. When you spread the type of propaganda Charlie did, when you call the Civil Rights Act a “mistake,” slander MLK, minimize gun violence, and every other bit of venom he ever spat out, with the STATED GOAL of making people angry, people are gonna be angry with you. Nah man I don’t even think guns should be taken away, I just think there should be tighter regulations on getting one, with less loopholes. I think to get a gun you should have to get a basic psych-eval and take safety classes BEFORE the purchase, for example. And I don’t think most reasonable people would view that as “I’m taking all your guns right now!” but that’s how the NRA and people like Charlie portray my position because they’re bought and paid for by gun manufacturers.
