Btw those same peasants were so revolted by a 3% tax on tea that they dumped a whole ship worth of British Tea into the harbor and started a revolution over it which ended up forming this country

Even unbothered 99% of the time 3% of their tea was an unfathomable amount of money being taken from them, nowadays people will bend over and accept 35% of their income as a tax
