Learning about true slave history. I found out sometimes they would eat the people they lynched. Why would they eat them if they hated them so much? I don’t understand that part

These are people who brought their kids to watch human beings be executed for being black. They aren’t normal

People kill and eat animals. Black people were thought of as animals more than people

From my understanding, it would most likely be an intimidation tactic or they were just freaks And saw them as inhuman

Public executions used to be a family affair in Europe and the Americas. There would be food vendors, entertainment, picnics, etc. it ended in England in 1866, France 1939, and the US in 1936. these are still done today in places like Iran Same for battles like the battle of bull run or battle of Alma(Crimean war), even a Yacht party during the last battle of the CSS Alabama.

Yes, but there’s a difference between Lynching and then eating the victim and a public execution

There were cases of eating the killed during public executions it was very rare and often took part if the crime was especially heinous. Alongside trophy taking and postcards all things done at lynchings as well.
