The israeli governments historic and current actions to the palestinian people are horrific. However, it is still anti-semitic to deny that jews have ancestral ties to that land. Hope this helps!
Got arrested for robbing and shooting up the liqa sto. You think the judge will let me off if I tell him the tequila was promised to me 4000 years ago?

Palestinians do too… since Jews and Palestinians are both descendants of the same Canaanite populations. What Jews do not have a right to do, is brutally murder hundreds of thousands of people to take land that is already owned and inhabited by people.

^ I agree it’s anti semitic to OPs point but bc of Palestinians having ties too ofc it’s also islamaphobic. But ofc no one is ready to have that conversation as well. Doesn’t matter has the ties at the end of the day anyway. Committing genocide to take over the land is wrong

I 100% agree.

It can be both, but the wording of “Jews” doing the murder instead of using the word “Israelis” is… questionable

OP referred to Jewish people having ancestral ties to the land. I agreed, but said that doesn’t justify killing. I didn’t say “Jews are murdering” I said that Jewish people don’t have the right to murder over those ties, which is true. The argument for Israel’s past and present conduct is that they do.

The line “what Jews do not have a right to do is brutally murder” is a given. And saying “Jews” there instead of “Israelis” is my qualm. As an American Jew with no connection at all to Israel, I don’t like being tied to their actions like that.

But I didn’t… I didn’t say you are doing something I said you cannot do something. Defenders of Israel argue they can do the things they are, because they are Jewish, and thus have ancestral ties to the land, not because they are Israeli, which is simply a matter of nationality. It’s clearly not a given when it is literally a bipartisan stance that Israel has an unimpeachable right to murder whoever it wants because as the Jewish state is has a connection to the land those people are living on
