Regardless of who the person is, if you go into a volatile scenario involving law enforcement with a firearm, disobey lawful commands, and violently resist, I would think it to be a fucking miracle if you did not get shot. That's a literal recipe for disaster

What commands did he disobey? What was he resisting?

"Get on the ground", and being taken to the ground respectively.

I didn’t even hear that. Why are they telling him to get on the ground?

Not sure

If it were a bad command thats something he should have fought in court though

No guesses?

If I had to guess, I'd say they were planning on detaining him, and were trying to make the process of cuffing him easier.

Detaining him for what?

No idea

Yeah the man probably had no idea either. That’s the entire point. He didn’t commit a crime.

Even if it were unlawful (which isn't really the implication of not immediately knowing the reason upon arrest), that'd still be something better fought in court than on the streets.

After you resist they can take you for that regardless and the whole "unlawful detainment" argument goes out the window

I agree with that. Let’s say this was a lawful arrest. Is resisting arrest something people get shot for?

Yes.

I don’t see the violence in the video

You don't see them touching each other?

I'd say pretty often in terms of likelihood of police shootings

#3 You should watch the full footage. They came up to them and pepper sprayed them so tell me what the guy was doing wrong? Where is the violent resistance ? Why did they come up and pepper spray him and the other woman ?
