I use the word selling loosely given that when you’re impoverished you’ll take any help that you can get but my point still very much stands. People saying that the 40 million Americans on SNAP are just lazy don’t realize that they’ve been systemically maintained in their impoverishement so that corporations can get a tax break when they hire SNAP-eligible minimum wage employees
