can you expand on this? leaving it at that brief a statement sounds like you’re trying to imply that the news makes things out to be worse than they are, rather than the opposite way around (which it’s commonly the opposite, the corporate news commonly runs propaganda for the state)

The news will twist the truth (sometimes making it seem more important, sometimes less important) depending on the message they’re trying to push
