How about this. Yes, voter ID laws across the board, strict, you get a specific ID just for voting, and you need it with you to vote. AND We start making voting mandatory for all citizens, unless you have a valid excuse. Just like jury duty.

In case those was lost on anybody. Like 70% of the electorate are democrats. We’d never have another Republican president again, unless some serious gerrymandering gets approved which it won’t because people hate gerrymandering, and they’d all be voting in this situation, because they’re required to.

Shouldn’t be a problem, right? If more people vote, then we have a stronger representation of the will of the people, right? And they’ll all be legal, since you got your voter ID finally. Safe and secure. That’s what you wanted, right?

mandatory voting is unconstitutional i think but i don’t have a problem with a free voter id (would have to be administered by the states)

this fact genuinely makes me so angry i almost become nihilist. this country panders so much to the right and yet they still complain about things being unfair
