US Politics on Yik Yak | See Taiwan is in a weird state. I feel like most people globally know and acknowledge that at some level it IS its own sovereign nation, including the not-so-nationalist faction of China They can’t say it out loud though. That makes China upset.

And to be honest it’s very obvious that China has really no reason to care if this teeny tiny little island nation defects and becomes its own country beyond one huge thing that it brings. Taiwan is home to Taiwan Semiconductor, the largest Semiconductor manufacturer in the world. It’s just money. It’s just semiconductors. That’s it. That’s why China wants Taiwan so bad. The “national unity” bullshit they spew is just to try and sell it to their people.
