They already tried that during the Reagan era. They all got fired and were still seeing staff shortages from the 1980s

A ton of airports and ARTCCs (air route traffic control centers, for when you’re just flying over) are getting fucked. Especially around NYC, EWR, PHL, LAX, PHX, ORD, and MCO
