If the Cuban government complied there would be no issue. You might not think it’s fair, but the US runs the Western hemisphere now.

Are you expecting the Cuban ppl to look at us as the good guys when we starve them or are you just acknowledging we’re the bad guys

We are not starving them. Their government is not cooperating with the people that control them. They are starving their people. They have leg to stand on. They are weak.

You ever wonder why they’re not rising up? Bc they know we’re the ones doing this to them

No. Cuba needs to US to survive. the US does not need Cuba. That’s the power structure The people don’t rise up, because they’ve been prisoned and killed when they have. That is Communism is practice.

i feel like that still makes the point that the US is the reason people are suffering & it’s not really fair because they can’t just rise up and get their government to stop. I don’t think we should be okay with the US using it’s power in this way. US can hold Cuban government accountable without doing this to the people

Like it’s just morally wrong. Just because we have the power to do something doesn’t mean it should be done

Oh it’s not fair? Guess what? Nothing is fair. It’s not about fair. It’s about who is strong and who is weak.

If the people who are strong use their power in this way, it’s only a matter of time

Look the fuck around you, any illusion of peace is not felt by those around the world. The world is chaos. We do it, because if we don’t, China will. They are no better. Their tactics might look friendly on paper, but they are enslaving nations through infrastructure investment loans like the US did in the 50s.

If those in power use their power inhumanely, it is only a matter of time before that power is taken away from them. There is a way to be firm without being cruel. This is not the way

the US has enough power to actually implement peace in the right way. If we keep doing this, it will end badly

The problem is the people you perceive to be in power are not actually in control. It’s a nameless collection of special interest people that shape agenda, spanning generations and working across party lines.

I don’t disagree with you on anything except where you imply that what’s happening to Cuban civilians is just because Cuba is weak. It’s because people in power are depriving them inhumanely. we should be upholding international standards & it is collective punushment. There are people who can stop it & we do have power to pressure our leaders to do things differently

The Communist government of Cuba is what is depriving people. They’ve taken their stance, the US said that was unacceptable, we control the water ways and this what gets into the country. If Cuba is not weak, they should fight the US in a war and secure shipping lanes for their supplies.

No, I believe it’s geopolitical strategy. If the communist government cared for its people it would step down or fight a war against the US.
