Charlie Kirk was not a champion of free speech or open debate. He was a propagandist looking to get clips for his socials so he could make millions through multilayered nonprofit scamming.

I mean he was a propagandist and he was clip farming but he definitely believed what he advocated for and he was definitely in favor of open debate

I don’t think anyone besides extremely far left people believe he deserved it. I don’t but I’m not exactly mourning him.

Is it awful to say I don’t deserve he should have died but I refuse to celebrate his life? A lot of far right people act like you have to worship him and in my mind he wasn’t a great guy but no he didn’t deserve to die

nah he didn’t deserve to die. but don’t get pissed at me when i say he was still a piece of shit. like him having a family doesn’t excuse him from criticism, idk what yall are on about.

and like it’s SO obvious the right wanted him to be some kind of martyr because they really and truly don’t have one, not one that people would deem conservative by modern standards anyways.

ā€œHim having a family doesn’t excuse him from criticismā€ā€¦ can you find an example of anyone saying that it does? Who are the ā€œyallā€ that you’re referring to? I don’t see anyone saying that on this thread

Almost nobody actually thinks he deserved to die. He was a nobody in the grand scheme of things, just a grifter puppet, and not worth the effort. You can not think he deserved it and still not give a fuck he’s gone and acknowledge we’re better without him spewing bs. It’s also not saying it’s deserved to acknowledge he had it coming and died by the same thing he rallied for like that’s just noticing the irony

I’m not responding to them, not because they’re not deserving of a response in a different setting, but because my question was clearly directed at OP. I’d like to know if the sentiment expressed in the post is coupled with or independent of the belief that he deserved to be killed. Hence why other people commenting their takes is irrelevant to my comment

No, nobody should be killed for their political views. That said, he was a fucking knob and I’m not sad about it.

Why would that literally make any difference. And why would you assume that is their intention when, as mentioned, that is a very fringe belief. The fact that you are so concerned that this is their intention behind the post is so brainwashed of you
