Okay so what I mean is that A. It was civl case, B. He was found liable for sexual abuse, not rape. Those are two very different things, C. It still is the case that ABC got sued for defamation, and settled for George Slopadopolous saying he was a rapist

Seexual abuse could range from unwanted touching to unwanted comments. So yeah I think it’s completely different from forcible penetrative rape

Well i’m not sure that it actually happened given that she doesn’t remember when or where it happened, and changed her story about it, but also said that she had to be convinced by a friend, as well as she said “most people find the idea of rape sexy”. Not to mention how nearly impossible it would be for the most famous man to walk into a department store, walk into a dressing room with a woman (and the footage had been deleted) and no one else has been able to corroborate her story.

They didn’t lose, they settled. Unless you want to say Trump lost his lawsuit with the DOJ for housing discrimination?

And I assume you know why they settled and didn’t continue fighting it? Because Disney’s lawyers usually don’t fuck around lmao

I’ll help you out: they need the FCC’s approval if they want to acquire another company or avoid some bs investigation. The FCC is already holding up the Paramount-Skydance merger because of the 60 Minutes stuff. Disney would rather take the L and pay $15M than risk something far more costly
