This is also true, moderate Dems are so caught up in “No guys, I swear I’m not a DIRTY progressive, I swear I don’t think Middle Easterners are human, I swear I don’t want you to have healthcare” that I never see them actually fight Republicans. They want the (mythical) “Moderate Republican” to come to their senses so bad that they completely neglect existing Democrats.

Luckily, I think the utter lack of strategic thinking on the part of the broader GOP, and the way they’ve just been playing follow-the-leader since 2016 puts them in the weakest position they’ve ever been in
