I get pretty annoyed with the daily show. I comedically driven show up on so frequently on such a dry topic lends it self to being hyperbolic The other examples is when a congressperson “ “ eviscerates” another in their argument” A lot of the times, I feel like they aren’t making a good point to qualify for all that show or don’t land with their intended audience

Ok yeah that’s valid. The late night shows I think are trying to 1. Entertain and 2. Make up for the milquetoast way these stories are covered in the news now and fuck the establishment dems that act like their strongly worded letters do jack shit

I think the late night shows are doing a service at least. They’re engaging the like, resist lib uncle type and I think they generally keep up morale bc they reflect how people feel about what’s going on but sometimes they do take some cheap shots. It’s not needed w how heinous stuff actually is

Yeah, I try to avoid them, they just get pushed onto my feed a lot. Truth be told it doesn’t help I’m engaging with it, just something that annoys me Thank you! My only prominent example that comes to mind is AOC because I tend not to follow the less radical democrats like that, but yeah, the most you ever get from them is a firm fingering wagging for the camera

Oh I do think they see important, if it’s between not being informed or watching the daily show. Daily show 10 times out of 10 That being said, a lot of work I do is trying to deconstruct conservative beliefs and find common ground for them to step to toward leftist (sometimes past liberals all together) When I’m not really trying to gaf, but I’m trying to get informed, because I’m not in the mood for it, aggravates me because it feels like more work having to figure out the clarity of the sto
