yep! harm reduction by voting for the lesser evil is better than being a complete bystander. if you complain about the results of an election you could’ve but chose not to vote impactfully in, i have negative pity for you.
Psst. Third party voters and people don’t vote under the guise of wanting to free Palestine are actually bad, performative people who used the fact that they’re privileged with no skin in the game to make themselves look morally superior.

I voted for Harris but I also called her campaign office criticizing their overly violent policies. I urged my friends to vote but I also attended protests and rallies calling for the Democratic Party to push for peace, not violence-but-at-least-we’re-not-Trump do not assume to know me

I would rather have the people who commit/enable fewer evils, since the harms they produce will be swifter to heal from. I loathe the Democratic Party but acknowledge they harm me and mine less than the Republican Party

Additionally, I’ve called multiple Dems about how their policies are barely better than the GOP’s. I cannot force their hand, but I do my best to nudge them

I, and the people who chose not to vote, did not allow that. The Democratic Party is at fault. This is my point (that op seems to understand, but I’m not convinced you do).

When you choose not to vote you’re taking away votes from people who literally don’t have the numbers to vote for their own rights and protections.
