Because you’ve NEVER received any form of monetary/supplemental aid at any point, ever. And if you haven’t, consider yourself lucky. A lot of people work long hours and still need SNAP

This is fucking evil. Poor people rely on this because their rent is way too high, if they even can afford a place to live

Food banks should close their offices in states that voted for idiocy

Tell that to the farmers who recieve a subsidy when SNAP is used to purchase their crops. This doesn't help anyone.

We should cut off red states from tax revenue from the blue states entirely. Watch how quick the tune changes

American farmers are so coddled . Why they get more money when the food they make cost more already?

And so taking away that money fixes the problem...how?

Taking money from the farmers doesn't make food cheaper, dumbass. It'll get more expensive. And now that no one can get SNAP subsidies, getting fresh food will be harder, not just from lack of affordability, but if no one is buying the expensive produce, farmers won't waste resources growing them.

It's more expensive when farmers act greedy and put most of their crop in storage to manufacture scarcity. By making them actually sell their product, costs will go down AND they have more people buying it

What scarcity of food is there in America? We throw away 133 billion pounds of food each year. The food gets wasted because American farmers throw away food that is still good to eat because misshapen or miscolored food don't sell as well to consumers here. The only scarcity exists because the system we create punishes farmers for not being profitable before injecting more cash into them to make up for it. Taking away the cash doesn't fix their unprofitability.
