Am I missing something about the LA protests? I’m seeing all these videos of cops shooting at people who are objectively doing nothing wrong. It’s not hard to believe they’re just abusing their power but I’m seeing people justify it. How??

Shooting reporters, shooting people trying to go home to their apartments because they live on the wrong street, shooting people for asking their names and badge numbers (which they are legally required to provide)

People doing illegal shit are just people doing illegal shit, cops doing illegal shit are explicitly betraying the public they’ve sworn to serve. Cops should be held to a higher standard than the average person considering their salaries are paid by the taxpayer and they’ve sworn to uphold the law.

Rubber bullets can be lethal if shot in a certain way and they’re absolutely being shot in that way. It’s our right to protest. Have you seen the cops destroying their own police car? I can’t trust anything about LA protesters being dangerous because why would the police have to destroy their own car to push that narrative if it was actually happening?
