Sympathy for the kids, no sympathy for the same people who laugh at wildfires in California and use the moment to talk about forest management and ideologically litmus test disaster relief funds but then soy the fuck out about people pointing out that Texas’s voters killed those kids as much as the flood.

You can comment on the lack of awareness and the hurtful voting history and call people out without being okay in the fact that they’re dying. Thats the point I was trying to make. Because yes, I don’t agree with how they voted and it’s the result of those votes that are now leaving people vulnerable to natural disasters, but no one deserves to die
