Genuinely asking, are there reasons to not support Mamdani? Is there any real dirt on him that would make him an unfit mayor? He feels too good to be true

I’m 100% for Zohran but a lot of his campaign promises aren’t really things he can do himself. He’ll need a lot of funding and permission from the state government for things like free childcare and free busses. He needs permission from the state to raise taxes on the 1%. He can’t freeze the rent until he appoints enough people the the rent control board

Only thing the right has on him rn is that his proposal says to tax richer and whiter neighborhoods more, and they’re spinning that as a race-based thing. Tbh, he’d be absolutely spotless if he just took out the “whiter” part

I’m seeing “leftists” on Twitter call him ZIOhran now because apparently he might have Zionists in his admin?

He wants to raise the corporate tax, but there’s not really a mechanism for raising them in only the city and not the rest of the state. Also a state issue. Basically he’s gonna have to convince Albany to help him on his major promises
