yes, in the same way China or Russia or the US is. It’s the second world superpower, albeit far weaker than the US right now. It’s trying to expand its sphere of influence, as all superpowers are want to do. China is literally an ethnostate, it’s upwards of 90% Han Chinese due to an extensive history of often forced assimilation of minority ethnicities and cultures. They are 90% Han this isn’t anything new lmao. Sure Han has its subgroups but overall they have been homogenized all speaking mandarin (it’s enforced and native languages are being spoken less) and also following the overarching “Chinese” culture based off Confucian and legalism values. The Han population dwarfs any minorities like Hui, Mongols, Uyghurs, etc… and has total supremacy
