Is there a certain event that you are looking for to tell if we live in a fully fascist country yet? A few months ago I told myself “when concentration camps pop up” and it looks like we are here, but we still have freedom of speech and stuff.

I feel a bit in denial about it all. We aren’t at Nazi Germany levels yet, certainly not even close, but, the camps are literally here and its terrifying because I thought the camps would be one of the last things to happen. I thought for sure that freedom of speech would be curtailed before we got camps!

Freedom of speech and press is a longer process to destroy. They have already started with the press and speech as well worth politicians. They will continue to take it away little by little until people don’t release they have no rights

Personally I’m waiting to see what happens with 2028. If he’s alive and allowed to run again I think we’ll know we’re officially there

I think it’s been that way for a while now, interfering in foreign elections, mass surveillance, etc. It was kind of a slow burn, frog-in-boiling-pot situation until only recently where they tipped their hand too much and now people are starting to realize

Some sort of canceled or blatantly cheated election, doesn’t matter how many unconstitutional laws they pass if dems come in and change it

Agreed. If the Supreme Court allows him to run as well i wouldn’t be surprised if we have a complete overhaul of our government system

we have concentration camps now, but not death camps. there’s a meaningful difference. they still have many steps to go. but to answer your question, we don’t actually have freedom of speech. the federal government can effectively do whether they want to you if you say or do things they don’t like at this point. it simply hasn’t been necessary for them to crack down en masse.
