It’s NOT tax money, it’s money he’s gonna get from suing the United States (tax money 🤫) and bribes

So Obama can spend nearly $400 million on White House renovations with tax payer money and Trump spend half that of his own money and now there’s outrage…

It’s privately funded you idiot. It’s the only presidential renovation to not cost taxpayer money.

If Trump could properly speak like an adult I think 90 to maybe 100% of his bullshit would not be cared about

Who’s gonna tell them…. He’s self funding it. He doesn’t even get his Presidential pay checks because he cares about government spending. Many presidents have changed or added on to the White House get a life y’all are literally obsessed with him

Self funding with bribes and a lawsuit.

Not self-funding, others donated to it. And it’s pretty normal to not take a paycheck or donate it. Miss me with this “cares about government spending” bullshit. Is that why he overcharged the secret service for rooms at Mar-a-Lago?

“Obsessed with him” he’s the fucking president and he can’t seem to keep his mouth shut for a single second. Always flip flopping because his handlers are fighting over whether to have tariffs and cut Medicare or not

If he cared about government spending he wouldn’t have passed the BBB but ok ALSO if he actually wanted to show he cared about the American people, he should use his wealth to help get the homeless some houses. Not some fancy dance hall for the rich

Tell me why he’s suing umm the DOJ then?

Him suing the DOJ is completely unrelated to renovating the White House. Also, I forgot to mention a lot of the funding is coming from private donations from third parties

Because he’s greedy, and he’s claiming some sort of damages as a result of the prosecution. But he won the presidency so idk what kind of damages he actually suffered

If he’s awarded compensation for damages then according to the courts that’s rightfully his and therefore his money to do with as he pleases. If the courts don’t award him any money then it’s a moot point entirely. Either way, no taxpayer money touched for the renovations

This is an administrative claim, not a lawsuit. If the DOJ accepts it, there’s no lawsuit and it never goes to court. He has even acknowledged how there’s a serious conflict of interest here

The outrage is over the fact he said it would be separate and they wouldn’t interfere with existing structures. Now he’s tearing down a wall and telling Treasury employees they can’t take pictures of it

The entire outrage came from the pictures of walls being torn down that were taken from the Treasury building

It’s not his own money either. It’s money from corporations, which raises concerns over bribery

If the DOJ denies it then it can go to court. The DOJ simply hasn’t challenged it (yet). It’s essentially like a case being settled outside the courts. With that being said, the DOJ is under his leadership so there is a conflict of interest, so the courts should be the ones mediating this
