better get the children to work on the farms then. On a serious note, it’s going to be multitudes harder to actually get the benefits of immigration you described if you cracked down on every illegal immigrant and make immigration harder and then we will just have problems that immigration usually solves. I don’t know enough about the story to really make a snap judgement about it but I do think this being a basis for damning all immigrants is a bit insane.

The issue comes up with families getting torn apart that couldn’t come into our country legally because of the restrictions, they never did anything wrong besides cross the border and that inherently isn’t crazy because they want to come to a better and stronger country for a better future
