It’s true that Biden did those things. unfortunately OP is right, those weren’t the headlines, and it’s not why Biden was unpopular broadly Pretty much all the mainstream Biden coverage was about either inflation or him trying to pass decent policy that got blocked by GOP or SCOTUS

this isn’t to say that Biden is beyond reproach for the very real shitty things he was responsible for. It’s just that on a population scale, they didn’t hate him for the actual shitty things! they were low salience issues for the voter base at large
