Any other life altering surgery a kid could have is fine. But Trans care isn’t bc why exactly?

Trans kids don’t even get surgery. They transition in lifestyle, then when they’re hitting puberty, the MIGHT start hormone blockers, if their doctors and therapists all clear it, and then when they’re over 18 they may or may not get surgery, depending on if they feel it necessary (and from what I hear they usually don’t).

Cuz it’s usually for health purposes not cosmetic.

So trans ppl just wanna transition bc it’s fashionable? Not bc they have like mental health issues with their body?

At a young age, kids and teens change their mind constantly. Why start a irreversible process and ruin the kids future

True no kidney surgery either. They may regret it. Or getting chemotherapy.

I mean you’re making a cosmetic change to someone’s body in hopes it will have a positive impacts on someone’s mental health. That’s a pretty radical thing to do

True so isn’t chemotherapy but where is maga against chemo?

And it’s not a hope it’s a proven science. And most kids don’t get medical stuff till 18 either unless doctors believe it to be needed.

What part of changing your name, pronouns, and wearing different clothes is irreversible? Did you even read my comment before responding?

The hormone blockers?

Cuz it’s a life altering surgery at an age that is confusing? An age where kids are unstable and change their mind on the daily. Where they have high hormones that affect their mood daily and affects their thoughts. They should wait till atleast 18 for any life altering surgeries and hormones

So they shouldn’t get chemotherapy then right cause it’s life altering surgery.

Still reversible, yes. And again, very rare. And even if it wasn’t (it is), if all the medical and psychological professionals believe it’s necessary while the kid and the parents all consent, then it’s none of your fucking business.

That’s for cancer to save their life. Them living a few years without hormone therapy and life altering surgeries where they are extremely emotional and changing on the daily will not hurt them. Comparing trans surgery to cancer is wild.

Theirs a thing called mental health crisis and suicide. For trans kids it’s sometimes needed for them. Ppl on the right don’t understand this fact and just see it as a trendy cosmetic thing. For someone experiencing gender dysphoria it makes a massive difference. With the regret rate for gender dysphoria being rlly low. But if it’s about it being life altering so isn’t chemotherapy?

You get through it bruh. Only 12-27% of adolescents keep gender dysmorphia through adult hood. People regret tattoos they get at 18 let alone a life altering surgery that wasn’t necessary might seem necessary at the time. Once you get the surgery you can’t ever go back. Then you might just be unhappy as you were when you were young. Just filled the doctors pocket.

Chemo isn’t cosmetic at all, it’s to get rid of cancer

I mean they're also trying to ban the lifestyle changes(bathroom laws, policing trans kids in sports, gender affirming haircut ban) so I guess it just took blind hate to find one thing they're at least consistent one

Hormone blockers were originally made for cis girls who got their periods way too early. It’s been used like that for a long time without any protest until trans kids started being prescribed

The regret rate for knee surgery is statistically higher than mtf bottom surgery. So are boob jobs

First of all no one gets surgery until after 18, the youngest surgery patients were 15 after years of being scrutinized and also not in the US. Also dysmorphia is not dysphoria and you’re mixing them up lmao

Also also doctors don’t get paid to push surgeries are you stupid? A majority of trans ‘healthcare providers’ will question you to no end and ultimately try to steer you away from medication and surgery regardless. Don’t speak out of your ass when you have no idea
