ICE has literally detained people despite showing reputable identification before, so no I do not think they’re particularly as organized as you’re saying here

ICE literally does this… there’s tons of footage of them literally saying “yeah this isn’t who we were looking for, oh well” and then that person gets tossed in a basement for a week with no lawyer.

You asked me if I thought they did background checks on people they processed and I provided you a case where they very clearly didn’t do that prior to assuming someone was illegal. Also if someone provided legal ID immediately, what purpose would you think they’d have for detaining them at all?
