Well he won comfortably but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t divisive at all. Realistically a black president in a country full of racists was naturally divisive, but many of the people who were upset about that were concentrated in states Obama wouldn’t have won regardless. But I think it’s more accurate to say the country was very divided during Obama’s presidency more so than Obama himself was divisive
