also this is a sufficiently consequential and very clearly negligent/reckless act that i thibk heavy punitive damages would likely be awarded even if he can’t prove $500k of direct harm

i mean consequential w/r/t the gravity of the false information, not that a canadian fiddler is particularly consequential. but that’s immaterial to the merits imo.
