The thing is there’s nothing really even about abortion in the Bible one way or the other. There’s like, an equal number of verses used to defend pro life vs pro choice and there’s even whole pro choice Christian denominations. It’s just another one of those instances where people are using the Bible to shield their indefensible beliefs against criticism except this time even the Bible isn’t swayed one way or another

I mean even if that verse is in the Bible in its original form it’s the ONE verse they have out of thousands and thousands and it’s up against “love is patient, love is kind”, “Above all, clothe yourselves with love which binds us all together,” “there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" and I could go on

Idk the Greek in Roman’s is pretty unambiguous, it doesn’t state a power dynamic as some apply to levitical law.
