This is actually pretty awesome. It’s literally the army’s 250th anniversary. That’s something worth commemorating

Yeah and half the places that don’t accept military discount, not everything is about money and a discount in my opinion really isn’t a big enough thanks for them taking the time to protect you and me, wether they are just a cook or a spec ops, they still are taking a pretty big burden to do their service. However if you don’t agree that’s fine, I can’t tell, people have different opinions

It would be horrible if they were shooting people, they just doing a parade what’s wrongs with that?

They’re practicing for tomorrow’s event. I live across the street from where this is happening. Thank god I’m spending the weekend at my parents in Bethesda, MD.

Yes but this is the kind of shit dictators do. And the tanks are taking it over the top. Tehy’re going to fucking DEMOLISH our already destroyed roads here.

Either way it’s a waste of money you dumb fucks! We could’ve used it to help homeless veterans, feed starving children, help our debt but no he wanted to spend it on a party

94 million that is used to show off instead of helping people who need it.

I agree that the spending could have been lower for sure, but the parade itself? What’s is wrong with that? Shouldn’t a soldier feel proud of himself and be praised by people that do wanna watch this? Or is that a bad thing

Oh honey. Tomorrow’s parade is NOT about praising soldiers. That’s what military discount and airport preboarding are for.

Majority of the soldiers (if you actually cared) don’t agree with this parade. Maybe we could use the money to get homeless veterans off the streets? It’s a much better way to support soldiers

Let me put it this way - is Kim Jong Un celebrating his soldiers here?

Vets on the streets are a different subject of what we’re talking about, I don’t agree with it and I’d help when I have the ability so, I also wanna ask if you have any service record yourself?

This parade is a waste of money, is not for our military but rather a pp measuring contest for the clown king and his best buddies in Moscow and NK. It’s a perversion of our military and our republic. Not to mention our military is for foreign affairs; to keep us safe. America has no land threats unlike Europe we don’t need the military right in our faces; nor should we want it. It allows the rapid decent into militarism and tyranny.

I’m disabled I couldn’t serve if I wanted to, I’m stating this fuck ass 94 million could’ve been used in a much better way, personally I believe there’s too many veterans on the streets, too many who cannot get healthcare, too many children starving, too many children being shot in schools, the list can go on forever where this money would’ve been better used. Instead were watching a dick size contest Trump wants to have with the rest of the world

These are definitely problems that I think need to be dealt with, but what does this have to do with the parade? I think anyone with a heart would want these problems to be solved but it’s upsetting they don’t get looked at with priority and I wish it was different. I think it’s a little unfair too you assume what the majority of the military thinks without being a member, and you saying these problems still doesn’t explain why you think soldiers shouldn’t deserve to be seen upon with respect

The parade cost $94 MILLION after Trump made a fit about how our country has too much “unnecessary” spending. The hypocrisy is fucking insane. That money could’ve actually helped its citizens instead of throwing a little party

#5, you’re a Trump supporter. There is absolutely zero level of “calmly” you could achieve that would undo the horrific violence your vote has directly caused people around the world to undergo. THAT is why there is such aggression towards you.

I figured from your guys comments that you thought I support him just because I don’t agree with you. I have family in the military and I chose to respect them, because I love them and I miss them, I think that’s very worthy of respect, and I know there are thousands of others like them.

You can respect the military without spending 100 million. That isn’t even going to the soldiers in the military

I wish the money was handled a different way, something more cautionary and generous to the people, but the person we have right now isn’t really on the same wavelength. I think we can agree to disagree respectfully, but I will continue to look at this event and show my respect to those in the military even though I see it differently than you do

I can never agree with wasting any money on this. Parading our troops around like they’re a circus act instead of letting them do their actual jobs. I cannot “agree to disagree” with this irresponsible waste of money but hey, they voted for a man with almost 20 failed business so no one should be fucking surprised. Cut Alzheimer’s research but throw money in the trash for a party
