Anyone else expecting Tucker Carlson to try and make a move for the Republican Nomination during the primary? I hope not but I have a bad feeling

I expect that no matter who they nominate, it’ll be unwinnable for the Republicans without some shenanigans. Just another 2008 situation, where McCain was actually a very strong candidate as far as republicans go, but Bush was so unpopular off both the economy and his wars.

JD Vance is literally polling higher than any Dem nominee rn and this isn’t even considering potential vote suppression laws or policies

Yes, because Democrats have a gazillion people on the table right now with no frontrunner, and people are already treating Vance as if he’s the ‘28 Republican nominee. Of course it’s going to look that way before the ball really gets rolling. Trump’s a popular personality, but attached to unpopular actions. Vance is also attached to those actions, but is simultaneously an unliked personality.
