I work for a fortune 500 company that laid off over a thousand american workers and replaced them all with cheaper H1Bs. this is a real issue that is leading to the annihilation of the middle class

wonderful solution. “just have the companies stop being greedy”. instead of discussing actual policy changes. this is why nothing ever happens

i don’t even know why that should be a “discussion” like yes companies should actually have to pay taxes yes people should not be allowed to pay people less then a livable wage yes companies shouldn’t be so greedy

shouldn’t those companies also not be allowed to use foreign labor via work visas simply for the discounted price and thus destroying the middle class?
